Privacy

RenovationWise is designed to collect only the information needed to provide renovation planning, saved projects, quote history, account access and payment-related features.

Account information

If you create or use an account, Supabase Authentication processes the email address and authentication data needed to sign you in. RenovationWise uses the resulting user identifier to keep your saved data separate from other users.

Project and quote information

Project inputs can include market, region, property type, property size, property value, renovation budget, goals, condition, scope selections and contractor quote text. Local Save stores project data in your browser. When you choose Save to cloud, project data and analyzed quote history are stored in the RenovationWise Supabase database and linked to your signed-in account. Row Level Security is used so normal authenticated users can access only their own project and quote records.

Payment information

Stripe handles checkout and payment credentials. RenovationWise does not store card numbers. We may store payment-related identifiers and access records needed to determine which paid product or subscription belongs to an account. Sandbox checkout is used during testing and does not charge real money.

Analytics and operational logs

RenovationWise may record limited product events such as pricing views, checkout intent and cloud-save events to understand whether the service is working. The current lightweight event logger is designed not to collect names, email addresses, quote text or payment credentials. Hosting, authentication and payment providers may separately process technical logs needed to operate and secure their services.

Security

Do not enter passwords, bank credentials, payment-card numbers, identity-document numbers or other unnecessary sensitive information into project or quote fields. Server-only credentials are not intentionally exposed to browser code.

Access, export and deletion

Signed-in users can export the cloud project and quote records available to their account as a JSON file from Project History. They can also delete an individual cloud project there. Deleting a project removes the quote-history records attached to that project. Local browser copies remain under the user's control and can be removed by clearing site data or replacing the local project. A complete account-deletion procedure, retention schedule and final data-controller/contact details will be finalised before live commercial launch.

Service providers

RenovationWise currently uses Supabase for authentication and cloud data, Vercel for hosting and application functions, GitHub for source/deployment workflow, and Stripe for payment testing and future payment processing.
