Cyprus renovation cost: plan before you quote

The useful number is not a single “price per square metre”. It is a realistic range tied to the actual scope, location, quality, preparation and what the contractor has included.

Indicative planning ranges

WorkLowTypical planning pointHigh
Bathroom renovation€3,000€9,000€30,000
Full kitchen renovation€5,000€14,000€40,000+
Supplied + laid flooring€35/m²€60/m²€130/m²
Surface-level renovation€300/m²€400/m²€500/m²
Full-scale renovation€700/m²€950/m²€1,200/m²

These are planning signals from published Cyprus sources, not guaranteed contractor prices. VAT, specification, site condition and exclusions can materially change the final figure.

Kitchen: scope matters more than the headline number

A published Cyprus contractor currently places standard kitchen refreshes around €5,000–€8,000, mid-range full renovations around €10,000–€18,000 and luxury/structural work around €20,000–€40,000+. It also reports Limassol kitchen budgets commonly landing around €8,000–€25,000.

Before comparing two kitchen quotes, normalize cabinetry, worktops, appliances, demolition, plumbing, electrical work, flooring, tiling, delivery and installation. A cheaper quote may simply contain less scope.

Bathroom: the hidden-cost room

Published Cyprus planning ranges run from roughly €3,000 for a small cosmetic refresh to €30,000 for a high-end wet-room conversion. The largest uncertainty is often what happens after strip-out: waterproofing, substrate repair, plumbing changes, drainage and making-good.

Ask whether the quote names the waterproofing system, identifies sanitaryware, states tile quantities and preparation, covers waste removal, and explains provisional sums.

What a renovation quote should make clear

Don't compare totals alone

RenovationWise is designed to turn a quote into a comparable scope: what is included, what is missing or unclear, where the price sits against available evidence, and which questions should be answered before signing.
